How to use Blog Generator

Generate blog post titles, content, excerpts, and featured images directly from the editor.

What is the Blog Generator? #

Like Products Generator, Blog Generator writes directly to the underlying WordPress post record rather than to a widget’s own Elementor settings. Applying a change updates that blog post everywhere it appears on your site — not just on the page you’re currently editing.

Blog Generator is a BEW Pro feature. It works on widgets that display a list of blog posts, such as Blog Grid.

Before You Start: Connect an AI Provider #

1. Go to BEW → Settings → AI Builder.
2. Open the AI Providers section and connect a provider with your API key.
3. If you also want to generate featured images, make sure an image-capable model is available too.

Where to Find It #

Select a supported blog-listing widget that has real posts showing in the preview. A ✨ BEW AI button appears once BEW finds eligible posts in that widget.

How to Generate #

1. Click the ✨ BEW AI button.
2. The card lists the posts currently shown in that widget, each with a checkbox, plus a Select all option at the top. Check only the posts you actually want to update.

1. Choose a Provider and Model.
2. Write one Instruction — it’s applied to every post you’ve checked.
3. Click Generate.
4. Review each post’s generated title, excerpt, content, and featured image in the preview, then click Apply to save all of them, or Cancel to discard the whole batch.

Note: Apply here writes to the real blog post, not just to this widget. It never touches a post’s URL slug. For a first try, apply to one or two posts before running it across your whole blog.

Reusing Instructions with Presets #

Save an instruction you reuse across posts as a preset:

1. Type your instruction, then click Save as preset.
2. Give it a short name and confirm.

Next time, open the Load a saved preset dropdown to apply it instantly. Manage your saved presets — rename or delete them — from the Manage presets link above the instruction field.

Browsing Previous Generations #

History is tracked per post and per field. Open a specific post’s history icon to browse its past generations and restore an earlier one.

Tips for Better Results #

• Great for refreshing old post titles and excerpts without rewriting the full article by hand.
• Try one post first, review the result, then run a larger batch once you’re happy with the instruction.
• If a post’s content is long, be specific about what should change — “tighten the intro” gets a more useful result than “make it better.”
